For a systematic and accurate leasehold registration and to further provide protection to its locators and residents within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone ("SBFZ") against all kinds of unscrupulous schemes, the Board of Directors of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority ("SBMA") instituted a mandatory registration of leasehold and other occupancy rights over all real properties within the SBFZ and all agreements involving the said rights. The said mandatory registration only requires the submission to the Registry Office of any document evidencing one's leasehold or occupancy rights over a particular land and/or building within the SBFZ and payment of a minimal administrative fee of Two Hundred Pesos (P200.00). Submission of the required documents may either be made at the Registry Office, or by sending scanned copy of the same through email at sbmaregistryoffice@yahoo.com.ph which will not require personal appearance of the registrant at the Registry Office. Kindly take note that the deadline of this mandatory registration shall be on 04 July 2010.
Upon your request and payment of the corresponding titling fee, you can be also issued a Certificate of Ownership of Leasehold Rights over your leasehold property/ies. The issuance of the said certifcate of title will surely enhance the commercial value of your leasehold rights, effectively facilitate commercial transactions and standardize all documents pertaining to loans and financial agreements entered into by locators and residents involving their said leasehold rights.
